Chapter 16

Tiffany called Bryan’s phone for the third time that morning. She fidgeted with her hands nervously, mad at herself for letting a man open her up this much, only to be disappointed that he was now ignoring her phone calls. She and Bryan hadn’t talked since he left her house upset over whatever he assumed was going on between Tiffany and Mike. She thought it was weird that he didn’t allow her to explain herself, or at the very least, tell her to stop calling his phone. She wanted to hear his voice, hug him, laugh with him, and fuck his brains out. She shook her head at the thought of him lying in bed naked next to her.Damn, she thought as she stared at her phone, wishing his name would flash across her screen. If only Mike had never showed up at my goddamn apartment. Shit would’ve still been on between me and Bryan, she thought as she laid on her back and pulled the covers over her face and closed her eyes. Seeing Bryan must’ve made Mike somewhat jealous because he definitely laid it down on Tiffany that night after she buzzed him up. The sex between them was so good, she made him breakfast and called off work to lay up with him. But even he’s gone, laid up with whoever he was laid up with.Stephanie was obviously too damn weak to let his ass go. Tiffany rolled her eyes and dialed Mike’s number. Her call was sent directly to voicemail. She sighed angrily and tossed her phone towards the foot of the bed. She quickly sat up and threw the covers back when her phone sounded with the distinct ring tone she had for Bryan. She reached for her phone, closed her eyes and exhaled before answering.

“Hello,” she said, suppressing her excitement. And she was glad she did.

“Look, I really need you to stop calling my phone,” Bryan said without any remorse.

Tiffany clutched her chest. “What? Why? Bryan, what did I do to you?” she asked nervously.

“It is what it is, Tiff. You got a nigga and I’m cool. Just don’t fuckin call my phone no more. You obviously ain’t who I thought you were,” he said and chuckled.

“You didn’t even give me a chance to explain myself!”

“I already know everything I need to know thanks to my boy Reggie from the barber shop. I gave him a run down and he knew exactly who I was talking about. Even he was surprised.”

Tiffany eyes widened as she threw her free hand over her mouth in shock. That son of a bitch!she mouthed to herself silently. She shook her head. “He don’t know shit about me! He just mad cause dude fucked his girl! Ain’t shit going on between me and Mike!” she lied, shaking her head as if Bryan was there sitting next to her.

“Oh really? That’s why he was so pissed off when I told him about dude,” Bryan recalled.

“Look Bryan, I’m not sure what he told you, but Reggie don’t know shit about me, so he needs to mind his own fucking business.
